ABT School — Terms & Conditions of Enrollment
Effective Date: 21/05/2021
By enrolling in any course provided by ABT School, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. These terms ensure full compliance with UK laws and regulations and protect both the student and ABT School.
1. Nature of Training and Course Purpose
- ABT School provides professional vocational education and continuous professional development (CPD) training in aesthetics and non-surgical cosmetic procedures.
- Our courses are designed for educational and professional development purposes only. They do not automatically grant legal permission to practice, prescribe, or open a clinic.
- Unless explicitly stated, our courses are CPD-accredited and not regulated by OFQUAL. Students are responsible for verifying which qualifications are acceptable for their intended use with regulatory bodies, insurers, employers, or councils.
- OFQUAL-regulated qualifications are legally recognized by government bodies; CPD-accredited qualifications provide professional knowledge but may not replace statutory licensing where required.
2. Student Responsibilities
By enrolling, each student agrees that:
- Prescriber Responsibility: It is the student’s sole responsibility to arrange prescriber supervision for any treatment involving Prescription-Only Medicines (POM), such as Botulinum Toxin, fully in line with current UK legislation.
- Insurance: Students are fully responsible for obtaining appropriate professional insurance to cover their practice.
- Licensing & Registration: Students are responsible for securing any required business licenses, council registrations, CQC approvals, or local regulatory authorizations necessary to operate legally.
- Legal Research: Students are solely responsible for remaining updated on all current and future UK laws, regulations, licensing, and professional practice standards relevant to their activities.
ABT School provides educational guidance but does not assume responsibility for students’ legal or regulatory compliance after course completion.
3. Refund & Cancellation Policy
- Once payment is made and course materials (including any online resources) have been accessed, no refunds will be issued, except as required by UK consumer protection law.
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing and will only be considered before accessing course materials.
- If a course is cancelled by ABT School, a full or partial refund may be offered at the discretion of ABT School.
4. Malpractice, Certification Misuse & Misrepresentation
- Any misuse of ABT School’s name, logo, certificates, or course materials will be considered malpractice and may result in certificate revocation, legal action, or notification to authorities.
- Certificates issued confirm completion of training only. They do not guarantee legal right to practice.
- Students may not falsely present themselves as fully licensed or qualified to practice unless they meet all required legal, licensing, and prescriber obligations in their country of practice.
5. Legal Disputes & Jurisdiction
- Any conflicts or disputes will first be addressed through ABT School’s internal complaints process.
- If unresolved, any legal proceedings must be brought under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
- ABT School’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fees paid for the specific course.
6. Future Legal Changes & Regulatory Updates
- Students acknowledge that UK laws and regulations may change at any time, including requirements for aesthetic licensing, prescriber consultations, or clinic operation.
- ABT School will provide general updates where possible, but students remain fully responsible for keeping themselves informed and legally compliant.
- ABT School is not liable for any penalties, financial loss, or legal consequences resulting from regulatory non-compliance.
7. Insurance Disclaimer
- ABT School may introduce third-party insurance providers but holds no responsibility for insurance decisions, approvals, or coverage.
- Insurance policies are issued solely by third-party providers under their terms.
8. Final Disclaimer
- ABT School delivers education, skill training, and professional development.
- Legal authorization to practice, prescribe, or operate a clinic remains subject to UK law and the student’s ongoing compliance with all regulatory requirements.
